About Us

For more than 125 years, Immaculate Conception School of Allegany County has been dedicated to nurturing young minds in our community. An integral part of the parish community and neighborhood, ICS offers a challenging and balanced curriculum beginning with children in our Pre-K program through 8th grade. High moral and academic standards coupled with self-discipline provide a safe and creative environment for learning in all grades. ICS has a long tradition of students excelling beyond their tenure at our school.

As a Catholic elementary/middle school, our goal is to help each child develop academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually, and to prepare them to be confident, responsible students. Awareness of the Roman Catholic faith and commitment to basic Christian values of love, peace, and respect for others is an integral part of the school's culture.

Principal's Message

Welcome back to a new school year. We are so happy to see everyone 5 full days for in-person learning. As we still continue to deal with COVID, I want to ensure everyone that once again the health and safety continue to be a priority at ICS. In accordance with the guidelines set forth by New York State, we are requiring that anyone who is in the building wear a mask. It is my hope that as the year progresses, this mandate will be eased.

We are excited about the new school year and look forward to it being successful.

Our Mission

Immaculate Conception School of Allegany County is a Diocesan regional school committed to excellence in education in the Catholic tradition. Our mission is to foster the academic and moral development of creative minds, developing a sense of understanding, compassion, empathy for others, and moral courage. We guide the development of the "whole child" and assist each student in reaching his/her full potential - intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We cannot accomplish our mission alone; we rely on God's help and seek the active involvement of parents, families, and the community.

Our Philosophy

Catholic Education strives to make an individual's faith a living, conscious, and active part of daily life through our example and instruction. Our goal is to help students develop moral, spiritual, and intellectual values which foster success later in life. ICS is dedicated to excellence in academic education and development of students within the framework of the Gospel and traditions of Catholic teachings. The ICS community embraces our Catholic values while affirming the intrinsic worth of the individual student. We welcome all students regardless of denomination or ethnic background.
